Slow cooker/crockpot comes in handy. Love using it for making stews, chili and certain cuts of roast beef.

Does pressure cooker preserves the nutrients Or you end up eating dead products?? A slow cooker & a pressure cooker are two different things. A slow cooker cooks slowly. A pressure cooker uses pressure & steam which can cook foods faster. Since it's lower heat & low in cooking time, a pressure cooker can preserve nutrients more than other methods. Another option if you are just cooking vegetables is to get a steamer.

We have brass pots from our grandfather's time. These pots were originally used for firewood ovens for slow cooking, but we use them on gas and an electric stove and cook in 2-3 hours.

I don't have any at the moment, I'm more of a throw in oven type person. I do hope to get a big slow cooker one day, so I can cook some spiral ham in it, I think it be easier than using an oven and make it juicer.

We use ours quite a bit. It is nice just tossing everything in and coming back when it is time to eat.

I have a slow cooker and have had one for years but I don't tend to use it as much as I used to now with me having an air fryer now. I do need to get it out again and clean it up and start making meals in it again. Some of the meals I used to love making in mine were pasta dishes, lasagne, stew, and curry. You can make so much in a slow cooker and just leave it cooking all day ready for when you need to eat.

Here we use pressure cooker for cooking most time for Mutton, chicken, etc. We are currently using wood for cooking as people say it is the best method and good for health, however it will also go since the smoke will cause trouble to others. How about cooking on gas with lowest heat?

How about cooking on gas with lowest heat? Wood burning can be hard for some with breathing problems. What about solar cooking? I haven't tried it myself.
We use an electric stove & oven so I'm not familiar with gas. I would assume as long as the food gets cooked thoroughly, then it'd be good.

A slow cooker is the best thing ever invented. If you've got a busy day put everything into the slow cooker and once you get home it should be near enough cooked. We always use the slow cooker for a lot of different meals. I like how you can do soups in it as nothing beats a nice vege soup in the Winter.
