Do you put up a real or artificial tree? Why do you choose one over the other? Real smells nice but then you have the needles. Artificial can last a long time. Some people leave their artificials decorated; one less stress. We used real when I was a kid. Later on, we went the artificial route. Now, we don't have any

Real trees when the kids were little...then we went to artificial. We don't do gifts anymore, so our tree is all lit up on our enclosed front porch.

We still do a real tree. I really want to have a potted spruce that we bring in for the winter, but the wife is not won over on that one

Artificial tree, for sure. Don't wanna deal with the clean up or stuff that comes with a live one.

Real for the smell. Artificial is easier and less mess.

I've never had a real tree in my life. I think it would be cool to have a real one sometime, but this year we only have artificial ones. I can imagine it is a pain to clean up all the pine needles that fall off a real tree.

Watering them has never really been challenge for me, but the article is not far off from $78 a tree anymore. I think once it is over $100 I'll really need to consider things.

It is easier when the tree is not real. We get a lot of ready to use ones. Some even come decorated. All you have to do it buy one, and use it where you like it.

Real Trees are far better but it's much easier just to store an artificial one and use it each year.

Artificial for me. I've had real ones in the past, but we've always found they're just not worth it!

My family has always used artificial trees, they may not be as nice but don't have to worry about getting pricked by pine needles or keeping them watered. Plus with the drought this year, its almost too hard to get a real tree anyway.
