Ubuntu uses Orange instead of Blue for highlighting things. I used to hate it at first, then slowly, I got used to it.
Can you stand bright colours in colour scheme for PC, phone or a room?

Bright colors have their place...they do tend to stand out more and get your attention. For one example, if you're stranded on the roadside and need help, a bright-colored orange or yellow would make more sense than blue :-) And, I'm happy wearing a nice red blouse when I feel like it LOL (wouldn't mind a red car, either But, for choosing a color for a room, PC or phone...I would opt for a 'cooler' color, like a light blue

I'm not for brighter colors be it on forums, on the PC, even clothing. Tend to be too bright. Now, we do have bright orange fabric we have put in our back acreage to outline our land; we get lost otherwise lol

It's been a good few years since I used Ubuntu, but wasn't most of the stuff it uses was orange? I would think orange highlights would kind of make things clash and harder to see?

I like bright colours, but I think they should be used sparingly - as accent colours, rather than main colours.
