If you got to name a new country, how would you decide what to call it? I’d go with what it would be known for. The surroundings. The flora & fauna that lives there.

I would name it by what it's history is. e.g. UK Royalty.

Decided by where it is and what's there. Something to do with history.

I would name it Serene, Temperate, Equality, Vast and Enticing ... or STEVE for short.

Probably after its most beautiful natural feature. Or maybe its founding hero, if it has one .

Funny enough I have thought about this a few times, not really sure to be honest, kind of depends on where the country is located. I would pick a name that meant nature or beauty, in hopes that no one would ever want to attack it.

Well, if it's new, YOU could be the founding hero Funny enough I have thought about this a few times, not really sure to be honest, kind of depends on where the country is located. Here are some of my ideas. Serralia - derived from the Latin word "serra," meaning "mountain range Nirvata - name combines the Sanskrit word for "liberation" (nirvana) Solterra - Latin words for "sun" (sol) and "earth" (terra). It evokes. a sense of warmth, vitality, and connection to nature.
Zenithia: This name plays on the word "zenith," meaning the highest point or pinnacle

Have you ever wrote stories & included these as places? I think that'd be cool!

For my fictional country, I've gone with Lyonesse, as this is an established mythical land...the home of Sir Tristram of the Arthurian legends.
I did base a few stories there, but lately it's the home of my fictional baseball league that I run on Out of the Park Baseball, my favorite computer game.

I know those are quite popular. Well, if it's new, YOU could be the founding hero True, but I'm not vain enough to name an entire country after myself . I like to delve into all aspects of the world, the plot, and everything...and with running my own businesses, I don't have the time for it any more. I do have the Wiki page for Lyonesse, though.

I would name it by what it's history is. e.g. UK Royalty. Me too According the area culture we can name the country so anyone can understand what is about that place. I always thought our country name should be renamed, but still it is not happening here as British named it as India.
