www.familyhandyman.com/article/blur-out-house-on-google-maps "Deciding to blur out house on Google Maps is an effective way to protect your family's privacy. Here's how to do it. Have you ever searched for your home address on Google Maps? If so, you’re probably familiar with the eerie feeling of knowing that other people can find an up-close photograph of your house so quickly. You’re not alone if you’re uncomfortable with having your house on Google Maps. There are home security and safety concerns associated with having images of your home shown on the platform...." My notes: I didn’t know there was a way you could blur it out. It’s a good tip for those who would like additional safety.

I'll be dipped. I didn't know you could do this either. Not something I need but I can see how it would be beneficial to a lot of people.

When I googled mine it was from back in 2009 and as far as I could tell there are no recent views. It shows the face of the person outside blurred and also a moving truck but was it.

Glad to see someone else still says it, besides me LOL

Not something I've ever thought to do, but I can see why people would want to do it - so, I'm glad the option is available .

My house is inside lane so Google never made photos for it and I am ok, however if shop is opened then have to be on Google maps. Google maps had only past photos, but we also need more security from scammers.

A good tip though not something I bother with. A fun fact is, if you purchase a house though, you should make sure all the pictures of it get taken down, that is the real danger.

This is a good tip that one can use to ensure that they keep their house out of the public's eyes. When it is blurred, those thinking evil will find it difficult locating your place.

There's no doubt this isn't a great tip for anyone who's security conscious. Although, I don't think that it's something I would really bother too much about.

I was just thinking of that. Zillow removes the photos but there are some other realtor sites that keep them up. Most of the time on Zillow you can find a house if you know the address.

Seriously, it's a very big security risk. I wish there's a way to get rid of all of them from all realtor's sites once the property have been sold.

LOL We just had a young Amish couple buy the house behind us, and I was glad that the photos were still up from the sale because I could see that the house had a fireplace. I was kind of hoping it didn't because when they have their fires going and we have our windows open, it bothers my husband's asthma.
