Do you ever get writers block? Do you tend to run out of inspiration, ideas? How do you remedy that? This topic can be for writing your book, a blog, even coming up with ideas for topics on forums. I love writing & I love learning so my mind is always thinking of something. I'm conscious throughout the day to always have interesting topics to discuss on my or others forums or even with my husband & parents. I tend to read a lot so that gives me even more ideas! What about burn-out? While it can be a challenge coming up with fresh ideas, I find seeing something on TV, seeing an article, even talking to my family can help me come up with ideas. That in turn helps me to avoid the burn-out.

There's a few exercises that I learned though the various Creative Writing classes I've taken.
1. You can flip open a random book to a random page, write a random sentence at the top of a paper and just write the first things that pop into your mind. You may end up writing a scene or a dialog. Limit this to only a page or two. 2. Go outside and just observe. Animals, people, events. 3. Open a magazine and find a random picture. Write a description about what's happening in the picture, then continue -- extrapolate what you think might happen in next. 4. Call a friend and ask them to give you a random phrase or word or topic. Write a one page dialog about the suggestion. 5. Rest. That's right, let it go, relax and sleep on it. You may be too tired. (This I learned the hard way, most recently!)

I find just being aware of my surroundings, focusing on what I'm hearing, reading, my mind can take things further.
