Words have always been fascinating to me. I started my diary in 1990 & have kept one since. I'm an introvert so am a classic writer as well as like to read. I had wrote poems when I was younger. A few stories but mostly it's a more detailed diary I do now lol When did you start? What encouraged you to do so?

I started writing when I was young and was able to write after I had learned. I always remember that I used to love sitting and writing stories both at home and also at school during lessons such as English class. I also used to love writing in diaries as well and it just kind of moved over to forums and blogs as I got older.

I started writing, fan fiction back in 2006 I think it was. I was going through a difficult time during my life and I was experiencing burn out from working technical help desk. Everything was logic, and analytical thinking. I had no idea that I even had the capability to think creatively. I forget how I even got into looking at fan fiction, but there was a man, named Davner, who I loved his writing style. It flowed, his stories were descriptive, and long, but always seemed to invoke an emotional response out of me. I guess one day, I had some time on my hands, and had an idea for a story, so I tried to write. I mimicked Davner's style. While my first story wasn't anything really polished, I loved the exhilaration I got from reading everybody's comments, some were nice, other's weren't so nice, but most were constructive. How could I improve. I took the advice, and wrote another story, and progressively got better, and found that I really liked writing my own stories, out of my own imagination, but using the characters I beloved. After another period of depression, I withdrew from the online world, and started writing in notebooks. I found that I could take many of the trauma's that I've dealt with and apply them to a wacky scenario that my favorite characters could easily handle, and I found a therapeutic relief for my pain, and I was able to heal, and at the same time become a better person. Writing helped to develop more empathy towards the people in my life, and as a result, I began to take better care of myself -- something I had always done was sacrifice my well-being for others. Anyway, I'm rambling now. *bows*
