www.familyhandyman.com/list/13-things-you-should-never-ever-vacuum "Getting out the vacuum may seem like a quick solution for any spill, but some things just aren’t meant to go in this machine. These are the messes that should be cleaned with a broom instead...." My notes: Have any of you vacuumed one of these, either on purpose or accident? I've done the plant debris. Bigger pieces I'll pick by hand but otherwise I vacuum up the smaller ones.

I have vacuumed many of these objects before, some of them by accident such as coins. The only things I will not vacuum are things like liquids and electric wires and I have always avoided these and got rid of them in other ways. Anything that is quite big as well I will always pick up and put in the bin myself but most things I vacuum.

My first job was a janitor at a pharmacy and had to vacuum the floors often, no problem vacuuming up pills, but there was always an odd item I had to be careful of not picking up random stuff like office supplies that dropped onto the ground by accident.

Cat Litter can be an absolute disaster for a vacuum, I've killed one before with it haha

Legos can and have be the greatest threat to vacuums. All you need are a few of them and they can destroy your entire machine.

I have somethings vacuumed up something that I didn't see, usually something small. I have emptied the canister onto newspaper and retrieved said item.

I've run over the cord and other objects before. I know better.
