Is online banking safe?
Do you bank online?
Do you trust it?

No offense intended but why do you hardly ever answer your own questions? Just curious.
1. Online banking is safe if you take all precautionary measures.
2. Yes
3. Yes

Never put more money in online banking so my suggestion use 2 accounts or someone household account for online which had less money.
I am using online banking from a long time and never had problem and our banks always use mobile OTP for safe banking.

I've been online banking for years and have never had an issue.
Want to protect yourself while online banking? Here’s what you can do:
Only transfer money to parties you trust. A money transfer can usually not be undone without the explicit permission of the receiving party.
Do not use any of the login details you use for online banking for any other online portals or services.
Do not give your online banking login details to anyone. Keep them to yourself, just like any pin codes and other sensitive authentication information.
Stay up-to-date with and make use of new, safe technologies to protect your online bank account, such as the option to log in with your fingerprint or use two-factor authentication.
Ensure your device’s operating system is up-to-date. This also goes for your online banking app, if you use one. The best thing to do is to configure your settings to have updates installed automatically.
Never click on a hyperlink or download a file you don’t trust.
Delete suspicious emails or messages without clicking on any links or downloading any files they contain.
Always make sure the website you’re visiting has a secure HTTPS-connection before you log in to your online banking environment.
Install good and reliable antivirus software on your device. Most popular antivirus programs also offer a good built-in firewall, but if yours doesn’t, try to get a separate firewall, too. Make sure both are always up-to-date.
If you come across a potential phishing email or message that claims to have been sent by your bank, immediately contact your bank to notify them.
If something doesn’t feel quite right as you’re transferring a payment, don’t complete the transaction.
Frequently check your online bank account so you’ll quickly spot any peculiarities before they start to cause trouble.

It can be safe or as dangerous as you want it to be, I always take the precautions and only login with a link I know is safe, never through a email. Then if I do anything money wise, I go in person to the bank.

I don't trust anything online fully. I think it's as safe as it can be. But nothing is 100%.

We are getting used to online banking in my country. Why the process of transition has not been easy, I will say that it is one of the best experience since you can pay for goods and services without having the cash with you.

I can't do without banking online. Cashless policy made me get used to it. I hardly go out with cash lately.

While I believe online banking can be considered safe if certain precautions are taken, I don't use online banking services.

I haven't had a problem yet but that doesn't mean it won't happen, unfortunately fraud is always around. Just got to be careful!

You just have to be careful because a lot pf things can occur within a swinkle of an eyes, if you are not being careful. This is the reason I strongly advise using some websites that you don't know anything about.

Yes of course, online banking is safe. There's no way the banking sector would introduce it to their customers if it's not safe. Just use it wisely!

The internet has access to you bank if you choose to use online banking or not, so I use it without much worry. Granted, common sense online security tactics need to be put into place at all times.
-Long and Complex passwords -Never reusing passwords -2FA for any account that has personal information -Never use URLs from emails or other websites

We seem to be reading more & more about breaches in banks. I think the way the banks get breached is similar to how we protect ourselves. Strong passwords, using common sense. When a bank becomes lax in their security, that's when they would be vulnerable & then the consumers would pay the price.

I'd say its pretty safe. I use one of the major national banks so I think they have their security in check. If I used a local bank with only 3 branches total in their entire bank system, then I might be a little apprehensive.

Three words: Two-factor authorization Yep, using only a strong password is never going to enough. Making use of 2FA is a must if you want better security.

Online banking is safe but this is something I’d never do over public Wi-Fi or on a network being used by others. I understand that banks have gold level encryption but this does not stop unauthorised snooping from other network users. Better safe than sorry!
Some stuff can only be done at a physical bank so online banking has its limitations.

No offense intended but why do you hardly ever answer your own questions? Just curious. I am here now answering them so what does it matter. Why are you nitpicking my posting style? I usually come back around and answer topics when I have the time, search up all my topics here and you'll see that I've answered them.

I use online banking exclusively. My check is auto deposited (a day early), and I pay my bills out of it. The remainder of my money (if anything is left) goes into my savings, which usually gets depleted by the end of the month for food anyway). So, if somebody were to access my account, it would only be temporary, and I don't really have anything of value anyway. I've lived with nothing before, and as uncomfortable as it is, I know that I'm taken care of by Spirit. Speaking of, it's almost payday again, and I'll see if I have enough money to pay for rent again this month. I've been making arrangements to have my possessions removed quickly in the event I can't pay for rent anymore.

I said 'no offense intended' and how does my question 'nitpick' your posting style? I normally have 30 to 45 notifications of responses to something I've posted which I need to look at, not to mention topics I have a particular interest in so I don't have time to go back and look at everything you've posted to see if you've answered your own question. Post any way you want, it matters not to me. * adds Nebulous to personal block list *

Online banking is very safe. Just check for certain fees and whatnot. They generally have the best interest rates and fraud protection.

Yep I do online banking! I trust it as well, I know not to use the same password for my bank account as any of my personal accounts. This helps ensure that none of my money is stolen in case if there is a security breach on a website I joined.
