Our ecosystem would collapse without honeybees. People don't realize how important they are to our survival.

We need the bees. We won't have food without them.

Without a doubt one of the major forces of nature that we can't live without, sad to hear the murder hornets got in from asia and is threatening their already endangered species here in the states.

Here are some more honeybee facts.
Honeybees communicate with each other by dancing. They perform a "waggle dance" to tell other bees the direction and distance to food sources.
Honeybees never sleep! They work tirelessly day and night to gather pollen and nectar for their colony.
Honeybees have a special stomach called a "honey stomach" or "crop," which they use to transport nectar back to the hive. They then regurgitate the nectar and chew it to break down the sugars before storing it in honeycomb cells.
Honeybees are also known for their incredible sense of smell. They use their antennae to detect different odors in the environment, which helps them locate food sources and communicate with other bees.
It is sad to see the decline of honeybee populations worldwide due to habitat loss, pesticide use, and other factors. Without honeybees, many of the foods we rely on would be severely impacted.

Steve, lainee, Bob, demonskeith, altair, Thank you all for your replies! When shopping for flowers this spring, try to find those who don't use insecticides especially neonicotinoids.
