To guarantee that you have access to fresh produce all year long, food preservation is a great option. Canning, freezing, and dehydrating are just a few methods for preserving food. If you use these techniques, your favorite meats, fruits, and vegetables will last longer.
Which preservation methods do you employ, then? Have you recently used a technique you would like to share with the forum?

My hubby loves his beets (ugh!)...so he cans a bunch every year. He's also tried to can zucchini and asparagus; the zucchini works out most times, the asparagus, for some reason, not so much:-) We do freeze our corn and it's yummy all year. We don't blanch or cook it (it's just raw)...we cut it off the cob and put in quart baggies.

Tried canning. Dehydrating. Wasn't good at canning. Didn't do it right and got mold.
