I thought this a good topic as recently I heard on a TV show they pronounced it: puh pree kuh. I pronounce it pap ree kuh. I've seen both online. So, how do you pronounce it? & similarly, do you use it? It’s in the pepper family & it’s one of the many spices we like to use.

I was always brought up to pronounce it is pap ree kuh and I still do to this day. I could understand if someone is from another area and they pronounce it differently depending on their accent though

It's not very often that I say it at all, but I usually put the emphasis on the first syllable - so, "PAP-rik-uh".

The word paprika comes from the Hungarian word for pepper.
Break the word “paprika” down into its syllables: “pa-pri-ka Pronounce each syllable separately: “pah,” “prih,” “kah Put the syllables together to say the word: “paprika
