People who know me know I’m not good at graphics nor editing things. Unless it’s word related lol However, I have done some editing via our computer’s Windows Media Player for simple pictures of taking the red-eye out or cropping. We tried PhotoSuite before but for the limited we do, the Windows version works better. I have honestly never tried Photoshop. What all do you use image editing software on? How would it be beneficial for a forum?

Photoshop has a steep learning curve so I rarely use it except for resizing images that have transparent backgrounds. Otherwise, I use XnView and PhotoScape.

I use them a lot for image resizing, color correction, adding special effects, etc.
And you're welcome.

I took a class on it in college, it was pretty fun but got really tedious at times. A lot of amazing things you can do with photoshop.

For image editing and creation, here are two freebies, yet fully featured and functional! - Gimp - Does pretty much most of the stuff Adobe Photoshop does, but is totally free, and runs on Linux too (as well as Windows). I'm not sure if there's a Mac version.
- Krita - A free art program that let's you just draw. I think maybe like Adobe Illustrator, maybe. I haven't used it yet though.
Another program that I really like is ArtRage (Pro). There's an Android and a Windows version (probably a Linux version too!) I love how I can make my artists tools, like crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc, and it has a bunch of tools build in too. I think you can even change the paper simulation too. A wonderful program that lets you just draw! But, it's $80 now. But I still highly recommend! I've got the version for my Android (much cheaper at $4.99), and it still works nice.

I love Krita for its coloring mode, just dash colors within some lineart and bam, its all colored in. Love it.

I use Gimp for my image editing needs. I don't want to pay for Adobe's product as I feel it's a bit overpriced so Gimp is the next best thing IMO. It runs fine on Windows too even if it was originally written with Linux in mind.

Oh, Adobe is horribly overpriced, they have gotten full of themselves these days.

I'm going to give GIMP a look. My copy of Photoshop is horribly out-of-date and as demonskeith said, it's horribly (one might say criminally) overpriced.
