www.familyhandyman.com/list/what-is-ipm"Integrated Pest Management minimizes the use of pesticides. We asked three experts for tips on how to apply IPM strategies around the house...." "What is IPM? Integrated Pest Management is a holistic, long-term approach to pest control. It starts by evaluating the nature of the pest problem and addresses it by biological, cultural and mechanical measures. Chemicals are a last resort...." My notes: For those who don't want the quick fix that can be harmful to the environment but rather a long-term solution.

Some good advice there. I know one apartment place we lived at in Colorado Springs had a bed bug problem. It started about 3 apartments down. To keep it from spreading to us, we bought Diatomaceous earth and spread that around all the baseboards. Worked too.

It's great for so many insects & is safe for humans & pets. Just don't breathe it in.
Nice to see another have a use for DE Great article...thanks! And, spice , I've heard of DE and even have some...forgot all about it:-) DUH!! Thanks for the reminder It's good to be reminded sometimes
