www.barkandwhiskers.com/2023-08-05-cat-leash-trainStory at-a-glance Indoor-only cats are much safer than free-roaming kitties, but they still benefit tremendously from time outdoors Cats can derive great enjoyment and mental stimulation from supervised trips outside, and they also benefit from being grounded Most cats (but not all), and especially kittens, can learn to walk on a harness and leash, allowing them to safely experience the great outdoors on walks with their humans An alternative outdoor experience for kitties who can’t or won’t be walked is an outdoor cat enclosure My notes: Have you tried leashing your cat? What tips do you have to succeed? I have never tried it. We have a cat enclosure, fenced yard from our walkout basement with cat-fence-in net all around to keep them in & other critters out. Although our cats have never tried to "escape".

I have seen some cats being walked on a leash. I think you need to teach them from an early age though.
