An idea taken from Snacks by lammchen. Who has tried a Dining Theater? For info: Dinner Theater. "Dinner theater (sometimes called dinner and a show) is a form of entertainment that combines a restaurant meal with a staged play or musical. "Dinner and a show" can also refer to a restaurant meal in combination with live concert music, where patrons listen to a performance during a break in the meal. In the case of a theatrical performance, sometimes the play is incidental entertainment, secondary to the meal. In the style of a night club, the play may be the main feature of the evening, with dinner less important or optional. Dinner theater requires the management of three distinct entities: a live theater, a restaurant and, usually, a bar." While I have heard of them, I have never actually attended one. I searched & we do have some locally. Would you try one?

Our corner restaurant does this or at least they used to,: Looking for a fun evening around Cheboygan this weekend? How about a Murder Mystery and dinner?🎭🍽 Check out the information below brought to you by The Great Lakes Grill & Rivertown Follies and mark this on your calendars for Friday or Saturday evening at 6 pm.📌

My town has a place where you can get a nice dinner and then a show, but I'm not much one for theaters so I never bothered to check it out.

The one by us has a button where you can call the wait staff to come take your order. I think things have changed now since Covid and you have to order online and pay online too? Then they'll bring out your order.
It was kind of disruptive having people milling all over the place taking orders and bringing food. My husband liked it because he could get a beer.

No, not for me. Doesn’t sound good. If I want to eat, I want to eat not be distracted by a movie and other people.

Ooh a Murder Mystery! I've been watching Murder, She Wrote so that's been on my mind lately lol

You would think it'd have to be family friendly as some people bring their kids with them. The one by us has a button where you can call the wait staff to come take your order. & that would be my issue as well. People tend to talk while eating so how does that work when there's a movie playing?
