My husband let me use one of his old monitors to hook up to my laptop because it's a bigger screen and will make it easier when I work on designs through Canva. My problem is trying to get the colors calibrated correctly. I've been playing with it for a while and it's okayyyy right now, but still not perfect. I'm struggling to get all colors to be true as well as brightness/contrast. It's a Dell monitor. Anyone else have a problem with Dell?

Dell monitors are pretty good, as long as they aren't in low end ones. It takes a lot if you're nit picky about the display.

I tried holding up a paint color chip from the hardware store to match the color on the screen and I just can't get it right. It's going to take a lot of time and effort but it will be worth it.

Maybe check on some adobe or graphic design reddits/forums? I'm sure someone out there has a good guide in getting the calibration right.

I actually found something when I rebooted...if I right click, Intel Graphics settings comes up and I have a lot of choices in how to fix the display. It's so much better and not so yellow now.

That is a great tip for others who would need their colors to be "just right"! It takes a long time to get it right. There is also the option to have the settings be reset to a default, and that can also correct some yellow screens.
