www.familyhandyman.com/article/sustainable-materials"Sustainable materials are also sometimes called green materials. All have these characteristics to varying degrees: They come from natural resources that are plentiful or which regenerate in a short time; A minimal amount of energy is required to obtain and process them, with minimal environmental impact; They include recycled materials, and/or they themselves can be recycled; They’re non-toxic; They’re durable and last a long time; They come from the general region where they’re used...." My notes: The one I'm not for is recycled plastic. Plastic is still plastic & can break down. While it has a new life, it's not like other recyclable materials where it can be used over & over. It just eventually ends up in the landfill. Included: What Are Sustainable Materials? Sustainable Building Materials Sustainable Design Materials New Sustainable Materials

Yeah, plastic becomes microplastics. Breaks down and you can never get rid of it in the environment.
