How often do you replace your cell phone? What do you do with your old one? My husband has one for emergencies. Before that was a TracFone which we just gave to a Tech place where they refurbish computers & other gadgets. We haven’t had to upgrade this newest one yet. But just like with the computer, we are not ones to upgrade just to upgrade. If we had to replace it, we’d find a place that takes them for Women’s Shelters for domestic violence.

I try to make my phones last 3-4 years, given their price they need to last that long. So far I've kept all my phones, as they are the last of their kind. But now I'm stuck with shoddy samsung phones, so I'll most likely trade them up.

Yep, 3-4 years sounds about right:-) Longer would be great...lol
We use ours mostly for emergencies, and eventually we give them to places that fix them up for soldiers, women's shelters, etc.

I try to push to 5 years, but normally after 3 or 4 years issues start to arise.

I keep mine as long as possible, as in years. I don't replace it for a newer phone with more gadgets and gizmos. When I do replace it, we have a place in town to take it to.
