Do you have a certain niche you like writing about? Maybe it’s just keeping a personal journal. Maybe it’s imaginary or true to life. Or even a mixture of both. Why do you like to write? I tend to write in my diary. It’s personal for me. Why do I write? It helps relieve stress, anxiety, & just makes me feel good.

What I write: I love writing in anime-specific settings. The big eyes, wildly colored hair, and vivid personalities. I usually write drama, but I enjoy comedy (which usually is included in all of my works), I've also tried my hand at romantic comedy. Some form of Science Fiction and/or magic are usually genres within my stories. I love Coming of Age stories, and many of the people can relate to the characters from memories of school life of their own childhood. And the placing the character from anime into the real world, within an anime-like setting can create some truly bizarre adventures!
How I write: I love sharing what I have written. I usually will write one chapter at a time (usually about 20 handwritten pages, or about five or six typed out -- I have big loopy handwriting), and I'll post it online somewhere within a community setting. I like fan fiction because most of the audience is already familiar with the characters and setting, however, it can be a challenge to uphold a character's personality true to cannon. Most of my stories run about twenty to thirty chapters long.
Why I write: I like to explore possibilities, what if's? I've also used writing to heal trauma that I've gone through. I especially love writing in the first person. I enjoy conveying feelings, thoughts, and emotions of what the main character is going through -- sometimes downright borderline sadistic, but the characters always manage to not become overwhelmed, and shine through. There have been times when I've laughed and when I've cried while the pen is on the paper. Even though I don't necessarily write about the specific traumas that I've gone though, there are many stories that I've written that parallel my life -- only in an exaggerated way.

I definitely can relate to this! My stories are only for my own eyes. I don't share them even with my husband. They are similar to my diary entries. But I too have been known to laugh & cry at what I have written. It's a healing process when you write about your trauma subtly.
