Our garden area is 24x20 feet and it's pretty huge. I'm tried of trying to care for it, so we are saying bye bye this year. Next year I'll just do some container gardenening and get our veggies that way.
This weekend we've been busying trying to get the area prepped for grass in the spring. Did I say it's a huge are? My body is telling me it's too much work LOL But it will be easy for my husband to mow the area now that a lot of the debris is cleared out. We used the space for making fires as well, so we could burn some of the cuttings from bushes/trees. Now, I don't know where we'll burn things.
Did you ever say good-bye to your garden?

No, haven't said bye bye yet...but striving for a much smaller garden (I just need my hubby to cooperate ) And, I'd be happy with just enough space for sweet corn & tomatoes

We have container gardens. Right now it's in buckets but one of these years, if we can find them on the cheap, some used horse troughs. Our neighbors do their garden that way & fill the bottom portion with eco material. I'm thinking we could use rocks, sticks, things that won't leach chemicals. So while we haven't said Goodbye, we want to be sure they would be more doable as we keep getting older!

I said goodbye to mine for the year, but will do it again next year.
Have you looked into plants that just grow on their own, come back and require little maintenance?
