Should the world encourage one another to be inventors? Instead of having it be liken to the “Space Race”. Why not pool all the great minds together & come up with ideas. Not working against but WITH each other as a human race. What do you think the pros & cons to this would be? Pro, the "two heads are better than one". Con, the "two heads" can clash with each other & nothing gets done!

I know there are companies out there that do help people with this, though it seems like most end up as junk tv commercial products that don't go far.

We need to revamp the patent system. I fully support patents as they allow inventors to make money off the products they make and therefore encourage them to make new products. However, it is currently not only a career path but a very viable business model to just wing possible patents all day and sue people who make products like them. Perhaps we need to have a system where patents get dropped after x amount of years if no product is released or a legal system where inventors can challenge people just sitting on unused patients or something.

I know there are companies out there that do help people with this, though it seems like most end up as junk tv commercial products that don't go far. You do see a bunch of useless items being invented! With all those great minds, you'd think they'd want to help the world more! I understand that. Some people have similar yet different enough patterns. Upgraded versions. Sometimes they find loopholes, other times they get sued. It's too bad too because the newer version could be more beneficial.
