What would you do if the internet ceased to exist right now. If we had a blackout. EMP. Some hackers just literally hacked the entire internet. What would you do? How would you feel? This is not knowing how long it would be offline. IF it even was able to come back online. Then objects such as vehicles & appliances that rely on this tech, would be rendered useless as well. What I would do? Panic. Yep, I would panic. As much as I unplug, I AM used to the internet & socializing in forums. Even keeping in touch with family & friends via emails. Then we’d have no news except local channels that would hopefully broadcast the truth (for once). How would I feel? Depressed. While I could adapt more easily than others as I am not on 24/7, it would be a major change of life. I got used to just searching up a word for the spelling, definition. Looking for a How To do something. Quicker than going to the library & trying to find an updated book. Then my next question would be, how likely do you think this could happen? I don’t assume it could “never” happen. Look how advanced we have become in these decades. We never thought we’d have an earbud to listen to music & to make calls.

Panic a little, and play offline video games to let the world cope with it, or burn to the ground, be interesting to see how many live without internet.

Likelihood of taking down the entire internet? Zero. Besides, the internet most of you we surf is only 2% of the entire existing internet.
IF, it ever did happen, I'd check the news. Assuming it's all been taken down, I can't believe it would be down for long.

Ok, maybe a little panic, at first. I love the Internet, and like most people, I use it for a lot of things. Probably be depressed, too, because so used to being in contact with family & friends. I'd miss that. It'd be very hard at first. Everyone would have to figure out other ways to work around it...or without it. Personally, I'd have to rewire my whole way of thinking, and do what I did BEFORE Internet. IF it ever happens

Well, I'd be pretty lost... it's how I keep in contact with most of my friends (and my girlfriend!)
I'd probably try to contact her by any means possible - but, if I couldn't do that, I'd go to her house, so I'd at least have her.

Go on with life without it. I’ve lived most of my life without it. Twice as long.

My answer would depend on HOW the Internet goes down. If it's by EMP or some other electrical malfunction, then the rest of the tech that I use is probably also toast. That means that my job wouldn't exist anymore either. Good thing I've got LOTS of paper, a mechanical pencil and tons of LEADS and ERASERS. I'd continue to make my role playing project a reality, just on actual paper. It would be as if I were living in a .... darker place that I'd rather not remember.
If the Internet were just hacked, then there's a good chance that the tech I use will still function. I'd wouldn't be too badly affected, although, I'd miss my TikTok streaming. Again, my job would be harmed considerably, since the credit card transaction services would be totally disrupted, however, I'd still be able to accept cash and checks. It would be as if I were living in the early 90s.
I make it sound as though this is no really big deal, and that I'd just shrug my shoulders and continue on with my day. That's partially true. Although I've lived both of these experiences and I'm mentally prepared for a type of collapse to occur, what I'm not totally prepared for is the total and absolute utter chaos that the Public at large would going through. All the Millennials and Gen-Zers and Gen Alphas that don't know a world without the Internet, or computing technology, that's something that I'd have to become hyper vigilant about. I guarantee that I wouldn't leave my home without a nice baseball bat in hand if I HAD to leave. This is partially why I've studied on how to start fire, how to purify water, all the basic survival skills that I know. I'm not totally prepared. Since I've moved to Boston, I don't have a social network of friends, let alone people that I know that I could trust if the crap went airborne.

Probably at work 20 hours a day. I work at hospitals and that would be a huge catastrophe.
