Back when we had a really good apartment that kept heat, we did crack the bedroom windows open for like ten minutes at night to cool the bedrooms down. I love sleeping in a cold room more than anything.

I'd crack a window open for fresh air for a few minutes, but not leave it open all the time.

I leave my en-suite bedroom window open just a smidge all year round, no matter how cold it will be open. I like fresh air in the room at night otherwise I wake up all blocked up.

I generally keep it at least slightly open for the fresh air... can't really function without that!
I only leave it completely shut when it's really cold and/or windy.
