www.familyhandyman.com/article/reset-check-engine-light"A check engine light indicates problems with your vehicle's emissions system. While you can turn the CEL off yourself, that's not the whole story. The check engine light (CEL) comes on when the on-board diagnostics second generation system (OBD II) detects an emission system problem. And yes, you can legally turn off the CEL yourself. But is that wise?..." My notes: My other car had this light on continuously. It was annoying because it was like crying wolf. I would think the newer models would be more equipped & sensitive to handle this issue. What have you done for this light? I am not knowledgeable in vehicles so I have never reset mine.

The check engine light could be SOOOO many things! My daughter had to take her car to one of those auto zone type places that will hook up a device to the car for free to get a reading on the possibilities of what it could be.
When my husband had a problem, it turned out to be his gas cap. He replaced the gas cap and the light turned off.
