What is your ringtone? For our landline, of course, it’s the generic ringing! For our emergency cell phone we just have it on a simple ring. Do you change it up often? We just keep with the same because we don’t use it hardly anyways lol

When I get a text, my phone says (in Darth Vader's voice) 'Message from the Dark Side of the force' and for my dearest friend overseas it says 'The Dark Side of the force is calling you'. It it's my wife calling, it's 'Get the party started' by P!nk

So, how do you set different ringtones for different people? I have an Android phone and when you add or edit a contact there's an option to set the ringtone. I have several saved on my phone so I can choose from them or the dozens of default ones. I don't know if it's the same on iPhone but I imagine there would be a way to do it.

Simple "phone ringing" is good enough for me.

I don't have a ringtone, I rarely get calls if ever, so I never set one. Maybe once I get people to call me, I'll set like a Final Fantasy like tone.

I use Google's Phone app. If I tap on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner, I can select Select Ringtone. Then I can select the file name of the ringtone I want to use. I think if you want to make an .MP3 into a ringtone, you have to go into Settings -> Sounds and Vibrations -> Ringtone and tap on the plus sign at the upper right corner. Then you can pick any .MP3 music/sound file.
I have "Happy Material: A Happier Version" (from Negima!) set to my ringtone. However, most of the time, I have my phone set to Do Not Disturb since I can't answer my phone while I'm working. Other times, it's a Spam call and my phone won't ring if the caller is identified as Spam/Scam. So, my phone hardly ever rings. I prefer to text anyway.
For my text messages, I have a soundbyte from StarCraft: "Incoming Transmission..." Or I found another one of a female computerized voice: "Message Received".

So it is possible to have a ringtone be the actual song with lyrics & not just the music?

Absolutely! I've done this many times. I just set the Ringtone to by a specific .MP3 music file.
