What do people think of having so many Satellites up above the Earth? What do you think about Space Junk? I know they are doing this to give people technology all over the world but I honestly would prefer to focus on necessities, not wants. So many people are starving & don’t have a roof over their heads. Can barely afford heating & cooling. What good is tech, the internet if people can’t afford to access it due to the cost? As for Space Junk. I imagine it’s liken to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in the ocean. We pollute the Earth so why not above it.

I don't know about too many satellites but there is definitely too much Space Junk. It should all be gathered up and then jettisoned out of the solar system.

Space junk is going to become a huge issue in the near future, it needs to start being cleaned up or it could risk people's lives going out there.

It already is a major concern for astronauts. What will most likely happen is as this space junk orbits the earth, the orbital paths begin to degrade (as what's happening with the International Space Station (ISS)), and gravity will eventually take hold and the junk will come back toward the earth. It will burn up in the atmosphere because it isn't shielded from the intense air friction and heat that is created as it falls toward the ground/ocean.
But all this tech, is really just for the Rich Elite. They don't care about us "normal" people. All the money that is spent on this tech, could be spent on fixing the many problems that massive populations of people are experiencing, but nothing is being done about any of it. Just "thoughts and prayers".

I could be wrong, but pieces like screws could gain momentum from Earth's orbit and fly into an astronaut's helmet, killing them based on some shows I've seen.

Maybe sent into the sun where it would burn all up. A wise option would be to recycle what we can but nobody wants to "waste" the money bringing that stuff back home. IF they even can. Space junk is going to become a huge issue in the near future, it needs to start being cleaned up or it could risk people's lives going out there. I agree! We have too much. It already is a major concern for astronauts. Just "thoughts and prayers". That's why I was never on the bandwagon of "free internet for all". The internet is not free. You need a computer, a phone, something to utilize said internet. You need a good connection. Electricity. Many remote places barely have clean water & I would think, if a poll was created, if they'd want the money to be spent on internet or better water & sanitation, I would bet most would say the latter. I could be wrong, but pieces like screws could gain momentum from Earth's orbit and fly into an astronaut's helmet, killing them based on some shows I've seen.
I don't think you are wrong. Just look at the power of a tornado. It can whip a playing card & stick it into a building.
& heavier objects not all the way burnt up, enough of them could be like a literal shower of debris.

Agreed. We have the technology to clean the water and provide electricity cheaply (if not freely), but part that ISN'T free is all the manpower that's needed for upkeep. Monitoring the system, ensuring that it's operating within norms, and if there's a breakage somewhere, that it's repaired urgently. THAT part isn't cheap. I mean, once you buy the initial cost of solar panels, or conduit for geothermal, or magnets for go-electric-magnetism, that part isn't really cheap either.
