How long would you wait for your food at a restaurant? What is the acceptable & unacceptable time limits? What about being seated? We’ve been to one organic restaurant where we had to wait almost an hour for seating. The food was good, unfortunately they went downhill when the owner passed away & eventually closed down. As for after ordering, an hour is the max. & that is pushing it. Especially if they haven’t come back to give us updates.

If the food is good, maybe an hour to be seated. I wouldn't wait longer than thirty minutes to be served.

I generally don't wait to be seated at all... I just look for elsewhere . On the other hand, I'm happy to wait for quite a long time to be served, although if it's a very long time (say, over an hour), then I will complain!

I'd give it 15-20 mins to be seated, and if there isn't a waiter at my table in 10 mins I'll walk. As for waiting for food, 30 mins, unless I'm with good company.

Depends on the restaurant but overall, same as demonskeith.

I would give it 15 mins to be seated, and if there isn't a waiter at my table in 10 mins I would leave. As for waiting for food, 20 mins. Unless someone has ordered something that takes a while to cook.
