I know wireless is more prevalent with wired becoming obsolete but I prefer wired. The computer store looked at me strangely when I asked for a WIRED mouse. Wireless mouses, for me anyways, get screwy with the connections. I never had that issue when they were wired. While you have the convenience & portability with a wireless, that convenience comes with a price. Wireless tends to act up so much more. Seems the advances they make in technology only advances their pocketbooks. I've had to buy a new mouse several times as it kept being faulty. I read reviews on many people having that same problem. What about you?

I use a wireless keyboard and mouse, but that's only because I can switch to typing on my mobile phone with my keyboard with just the tap of a button and back to my PC. I do have a drawing tablet though, and that's wired. The pain with wireless stuff is that you have to replace the batteries often. Although, I've noticed that the batteries are lasting a lot longer than they used to.

The pain with wireless stuff is that you have to replace the batteries often. 'Often' is relative though. My wireless devices only require a battery change once or twice a year.

I wouldn't say wired is going out, maybe not as popular, but I promise you there are plenty of wired lovers to keep it around. All my stuff is wired, including my internet and I love it. I just have a small wifi router for when I want to use wifi for my phone.

Wired is more reliable but as is pointed out, hard to find.

Senkusha, Steve, When I first had my ergonomic trackball in wireless, I had to replace the batteries a lot. "Often" for me would be every couple of months. Although I'm with Senkusha in that they have gotten better. My new trackball doesn't even HAVE a battery. You just charge it up. I wouldn't say wired is going out, maybe not as popular, but I promise you there are plenty of wired lovers to keep it around. All my stuff is wired, including my internet and I love it. I just have a small wifi router for when I want to use wifi for my phone. Thank you for this vote of confidence! Gives us hope Wired is more reliable but as is pointed out, hard to find. Or at the computer store, they look at you like you grew two heads to even suggest such a thing!
