What do you think of people who go to concerts and film the entire thing on their phones? Are you one of them?
Do you think they're missing part of the experience by watching it through a phone screen the whole time?
Do you actually watch the videos back later?
Some artists require you to turn in your phones or give you a special locking pouch to put it in that will get unlocked when you leave. Is this too far?

They are missing out on the experience for sure. Chances are they will NEVER watch that video in the future. They'll throw it up on social media and nobody else is going to watch it either. Put your phone away and live your life people!

While I haven't been to a concert in a long time & don't do cell phones, I wouldn't do this. A video can be nice to "look back on" but you miss the "in real time" emotions that were happening.
I doubt they would take the time to watch it again. Maybe once to edit it & be sure it was post worthy.
While I have watched some concerts people have recorded, it was those who were in the front row. Any further back, & you can't see the singers. But the problem with these recordings, they are not professional so they may scan the crowd for the "vibes" & hence would miss an important feature of the concert that professional multiple angle cameras would capture.
I don't believe in withholding phones from people. Even though too many are attached to them, filming a concert is not as disruptive as other things can be.

Watching and/or recording during a concert is ridiculous in my opinion. I love the locking bag idea!

Shouldn't be allowed.

I know some people who do play back that video, but usually it is so messy and not very good you can't get the full experience from it.

Naw. Most are not good quality and you can't see or hear anything really. Just amateurs.

I film short clips to post on social media for friends. Uusally just a 10 second clip of a cool part/show of a song and that's it. Might take a few. Went to a festival and there was a lot of people dresse dup as pikachu or spiderman crowd surfing so got a few of them as well.
