Do you think Facebook tends to gravitate towards the older or younger generation? & why? Do you feel the younger generation prefers the keeping in touch aspect of Facebook? The one-stop shopping. While the younger ones like Twitter & Instagram better. I feel it's a matter of preference & what one is used to. Facebook, while high on censorship, does have a big following & is user friendly compared to some other platforms.

Facebook for older folks now. Nextdoor for older folks and business owners. Instagram for young and middle age. TikTok for younger. Snapchat for younger. Those are the trends I've noticed.

Facebook is for GenX and Millennials. People who have money to spend, and are comfortable using the internet. It was made for introverts, like me, who don't really like going out to meet people. However, in my older age now, and feeling more comfortable with myself, I don't mind so much. Now the problem is actually having money to go out (not only to GET somewhere, but to DO something once there).
Don't forget about YouTube. I've noticed pretty much every generation uses YouTube for a variety of purposes.
I'm actually waiting for a social media platform to come out that is marketed towards AI. I personally think this will be the next big social media platform. And probably the most controversial one too.

Hrmmm, I rather say the in between, not eye-catching enough for youths but just enough for those older and those who grew up on it.
