My notes: I wonder if this would be ideal for those in flood zones. Have you heard of this? Do you have it installed? Would you? We don't have drainage issues, other than simply having sandy soil, but if the problem was bigger, I wouldn't mind looking more into this as an option.

Looks like it would get the job done, but also rather expensive to get done. Wonder if there are cheaper solutions around?

demonskeith, I never even thought of looking for alternatives so I searched. Others have asked as well lol AlternativesI like the Swale/Valley option if one has woods or a pond nearby. Bog Gardens look quite nice actually but I'd want it to be deeper to have fish to eat mosquito larva. Which one of these sounds better?

I know a lot of people who get them but they are expensive. Sump pumps are usually installed as they are cheaper and more accessible.

I know a lot of people who get them but they are expensive. Sump pumps are usually installed as they are cheaper and more accessible. We have a sump pump in this house & at our last one, had to install one outside as rain seeped into the basement. Do you have a sump pump?
