Do you think people use the LIKES too much in Social Media or even now in Forums? People tend to count on those Likes too much. They even get 'addicted' to it. Same with the 'friends'. Are you liking & commenting because it’s the right thing to do or you feel since you like/ comment then they should like/ comment? If you are in a big group, posts & people tend to get lost in the shuffle. It's one of the many reasons I prefer Forums. While we do have the LIKE button people are more apt to also reply than they are on Social Media. What is your opinion?

I haven't experienced over usage of the Like button, personally. And I get a ton of them which I really like (no pun intended) because very often a person will 'Like' your post and then post a relevant comment afterwards. I use it myself, especially if there are nested quotes in the post I want to respond to.

I see nothing wrong with them, its a nice way to show you like something without needing to leave a comment. I kind of hate how Youtube took away the dislike feature.
