They are not just used for Halloween, although that is the only time I remember using them when I was young. Have you used them? If so, what for? For info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glow_stick “A glow stick, also known as a light stick, chem light, light wand, light rod, and rave light, is a self-contained, short-term light-source. It consists of a translucent plastic tube containing isolated substances that, when combined, make light through chemiluminescence. The light cannot be turned off and can be used only once. The used tube is then thrown away. Glow sticks are often used for recreation, such as for events, camping, outdoor exploration, and concerts. Glow sticks are also used for light in military and emergency services applications. Industrial uses include marine, transportation, and mining.”

They can be real handy when you're walking and it's getting dark...and, sometimes for camping

Only for Halloween. Seen in TV shows at parties.

They are actually used in concerts and dances a lot as well:
Never used one, but I find them pretty neat, a safer form of firework if anything.

Emerald, Steve, I've only seen them for Halloween when I was a kid but it seems there's quite a few uses for them.
