I have a question for people here. Yesterday, I woke & noticed a missed call so I saw it was from my husband's cell. He's good about calling me when I ask if the weather is bad. But he won't call me in the morning unless there's an emergency. Thing is, he always leaves a message. None. So I called his cell & let him know he called here but no message. Remember, ours is just for emergencies. I gave it over an hour until I could call his work & had them get him (I don't like calling him at work; it's factory & busy). He knows I would only call if I had to. He said he didn't call me. Later on, he had looked at his phone & said it registered the call at that time. He turned his phone on when he left home in case something happens but doesn't do anything else. He then turns it off when he gets to work. So, I searched & some sites say an app installed. We didn't do that. What else could prompt his phone to call our home, he didn't mention but would have if other contacts had been called. It's an Android Moto G phone. I heard of butt dialing but he didn't have it on his person. Thank you in advance

If he didn't have it with him at the time of the call then I'm totally baffled. Where is the phone when he doesn't have it with him?

What he did was turn it on then while it was going through the "Hello Moto", he set it down between the van seats where it always goes. He didn't unlock it even with the password. He just keeps it in the van in that little cubby under the radio & drinks holder.

So long as the phone has a lock on it, no one should be able to call, I doubt some random app would call your home, he most likely just misdialed. How long was the call?

calamity, demonskeith, Thank you both for your input! But remember, he didn't unlock it though. Even if one button got stuck, you'd need the sequence, the RIGHT sequence to unlock it THEN to get to the call area. To call from this phone takes a few steps.
It was 13 seconds & what was odd was that our answering machine didn't pick up.
He didn't dial, that's the thing. He turned it on, didn't even unlock it, & set it down in the van.
Only time it ever happened & hasn't happened since.
It's a puzzle!
