From Wiki: "A QR code (quick-response code) is a type of two-dimensional matrix barcode, invented in 1994, by Japanese company Denso Wave for labelling automobile parts. A QR code consists of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white background, including some fiducial markers, which can be read by an imaging device, such as a camera, and processed using Reed–Solomon error correction until the image can be appropriately interpreted. The required data are then extracted from patterns that are present in both the horizontal and the vertical components of the QR image."
We don't use our cell hardly to use this. What do people think of it? Is it quite accurate? Does it make life easier? What are the pros & cons to using this code?

I'll use it now and then, but hardly. I've heard restaurants will leave them at tables for people to pull up menus with, not sure if I like the idea.

I've used them occasionally to obtain a link but never otherwise.

What do you think would be the bad implications to having it for restaurants? Oh, I understood it. My comment was generated to less technically minded people.

I saw a huge uptick in the use of QR code menus during Covid. I think it's a great idea to stop the spread of germs, however, since it's only pointing to a web address, if you don't have a good data connection, you won't be able to read the menu. I also like being able to hold the menu to see the pictures of the food and read the descriptions. Doing it via mobile phone web site is awkward and more time consuming.
My employer is now using a QR code (which just points to a website) for requesting time off, and also for people who are interested in working for us. They can fill out the application on line. We don't have paper forms anymore.

I have never used one nor will I. Good way for scammers to get access.

Good way for scammers to get access. How so? They're safer than barcodes.
