What do people think of Leap Year? Do you do anything special for this day? I think it's needed & can be confusing for some lol but we don't do anything out of the ordinary. It's not like it's a free day meaning a free-for-all! From Wiki: "A leap year (also known as an intercalary year or bissextile year) is a calendar year that contains an additional day (or, in the case of a lunisolar calendar, a month) compared to a common year. The 366th day (or 13th month) is added to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical year or seasonal year. Because astronomical events and seasons do not repeat in a whole number of days, calendars that have a constant number of days in each year will unavoidably drift over time with respect to the event that the year is supposed to track, such as seasons. By inserting ("intercalating") an additional day, a leap day, or month, a leap month, into some years, the drift between a civilization's dating system and the physical properties of the Solar System can be corrected." "What happens if you are born on February 29 legally? In non-leap years, that day is March 1. So for someone born on February 29, the first day they can legally drive, vote, join the Army, buy alcohol or start collecting Social Security is presumably March 1 in non-leap years." I don't do anything special for Leap Year - just another date when you think about it.

Knowing whether it's a leap year or not is easy ... there only two conditions: 1. The year number must be divisible by four (like 2024) or: 2. End-of-century years must be divisible by 400 (like 2000). And it's just an added Saturday for me.

It's just another day for me lol, though my Birthday falls on a Monday this year because it's a leap year. Makes me wonder what people do if they were born on a leap year and their birthday is on the 29th.
