My diet is based on a lot of home cooked meals, but we do eat chips and crackers as well. I try to keep up with my exercise, but wow, this winter was difficult and today I finally got back to the park to hike since it was 60F outside! It was a hard one since I'm not used to the cardio, even though I was trying to get as many steps in per day that I could muster. But back to the OP, I wish I could eat less so I could lose more weight, but I'm constantly hungry and that's because of my thyroid hormones I'm on. I'm always thinking of food.

Both if an option, but I would do more exercise as it can counter the bad eating if anything.
