"Mr. Carasso and the Metzgers bought Oxy-Gala, a small Greek yogurt company in the Bronx, and in October 1942 began producing unflavored yogurt in half-pint glass bottles under the Americanized name Dannon. Customers paid 11 cents and a 3-cent deposit."
My notes: Who knew Yogurt was around for 80 years now!

Tupperware. Per: Wiki. "Tupperware is an American company that manufactures, and internationally distributes preparation, storage, and serving containers for the kitchen and home. It was founded in 1942 by Earl Tupper, who developed his first bell-shaped container and introduced the products to the public in 1946. Tupperware is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tupperware Brands. As of 2007, it was sold by approximately 1.9 million direct salespeople on contract. In 2013, the top marketplace for Tupperware was Indonesia, topping Germany. Indonesia's sales in 2013 were more than $200 million." My notes: I would have thought it was around a lot longer! Do you remember your mom or you yourself having Tupperware Parties? With the advent of the internet, this has gone by the wayside. It's too bad because it was a chance for people to socialize with one another. I don't recall Tupperware Parties but I do remember them being promoted by the neighbors.

I still have some older pieces that I still use, too You should probably get rid of what's in them. I imagine it's spoiled by now.

Coffee makers manufactured in 1920’s combined several functions in one appliance. i.e. Armstrong’s Perc-O-Toaster could toast bread, bake waffles, & perk coffee.
My notes: It looks like people still can buy vintage ones. I’m not sure about their use. Would you buy a new manufactured appliance that combined tasks? The only thing I wouldn't like about it is similar to what I didn't like about the VCR/TV combo. If one went out, you were out TWO items then! Anybody remember seeing this Armstrong version around?

Caesar Salad. There's a legend that it was created on July 4, 1924 by Caesar Cardini, a Tijuana restaurateur. He ran short on food for the Hollywood crowd so created this dish. Originally, some lettuce leaves were left whole because he wanted it as a finger food.
My notes: This is going on 100 years! Also, it's weird that the word "restaurateur" doesn't have an "n" in it like restaurant does lol Do you eat this salad? The ingredients consist of: "chopped romaine lettuce and garlicky croutons, tossed in a creamy dressing made with eggs, olive oil, lemon, Parmesan, Worcestershire sauce, and anchovies." It never appealed to me.
