Clouds. "Clouds are classified according to their height above and appearance (texture) from the ground. The following cloud roots and translations summarize the components of this classification system: 1) Cirro-: curl of hair, high; 2) Alto-: mid; 3) Strato-: layer; 4) Nimbo-: rain, precipitation; and 5) Cumulo-: heap." My notes: I love watching the clouds! Just not when it's getting dark & breezy with a storm lol Members may like this thread: Shapes out of clouds.

Redwoods. Redwoods are evergreen trees native to the United States West Coast. They are related to the giant sequioa. They can grow up to 350 feet tall. California’s Redwood National Park has some of the tallest redwoods in the world.
My notes: Have you been there before? Have you seen a redwood? I’ve only been around the East Coast so I’ve only seen them in pictures. I remember seeing a picture of somebody driving through one of the massive trees! I don’t know how the tree would still be stable however. Anybody remember seeing that picture?

Wood's grain. The way the tree grows determines the design. If the wood is cut with or against the grain.
My notes: I wonder if there's a way to tell by looking at wood which way it was cut?
