arstechnica.com/space/2024/04/trash-from-the-international-space-station-may-have-hit-a-house-in-florida "If NASA confirms the projectile that fell through Otero's house last month came from the ISS, it would join a small handful of incidents when an object falling out of orbit damaged someone's property. Earth is a big place. It's fairly common for someone to find a piece of fallen space junk in a field or washed up on a beach. But it is rare for a reentry to hit a structure or injure a person...." My notes: What do you think about this? We have space debris that can come down to Earth. Bigger items, they say, they have a controlled re-entry. Is it a hoax? I'd like to keep up to date on this.

Wow, sounds kinda scary . Obviously, it's too early to say definitively whether or not this object does come from the ISS, but I will be interested to hear more!

GASP! No, not shocked, no duh this happened, going to happen a lot more as we let more of our stuff float in space and let fall to earth. Someone will die from this one day, mark my words.
