Polaroids were instant pictures back in the day. I was surprised to find out they still make & sell these types of cameras! Has anybody used a Polaroid before? What was the quality of picture like? Would you try the new version? Anybody remember having to shake the pictures? Another thing I found out is you shouldn't shake them as it can create bubbles or marks between the layers. I wonder how people got in the habit of shaking them lol

I had a Polaroid Camera, the quality wasn't as good as the pictures today. I wouldn't buy one, happy with the photos I take on my phone.

I never used one before, however I do recall my grandmother having one and she would let my sister and I shake the photos afterwards. There's a Youtuber I watch called This is Dan Bell who takes photographs with a Polaroid and sells the pictures on his website.

Plus with those older cameras, you don't know how the picture will turn out until it's too late. There's a Youtuber I watch called This is Dan Bell who takes photographs with a Polaroid and sells the pictures on his website. How interesting! I found his site for those interested: Dan Bell

Used to take Polaroids as well, then moved up to SLR, and finally to my phone.

Used to take Polaroids as well, then moved up to SLR, and finally to my phone. We still have a camera. Not sure if it's considered an SLR.

Unless the pictures are saved digitally, it would have to be an SLR.

My family only had the cameras that you had to go get developed and yeah, the classic cameras are still around, just not in the average day store.

Had to shake them as well. It's weird how we were told to shake them lol

We had to shake them to get the ink to dry so they wouldn't run or smudge. They were really awful looking, but they were fast and you knew if you got the shot instead of waiting for the developed film to return as pics a week or two later. I don't miss those days.

I like being able to have instant pictures & being able to "develop" aka download them yourself.

I like being able to have instant pictures & being able to "develop" aka download them yourself. You can do that with a phone as well. Yes, I know you only use yours for emergencies but I'm just saying you can take however many pictures you want, pick the best one, download it to your computer, and use Image Editing software if needed. Get rid of the rest.

What have you used Image Editing for?

What have you used Image Editing for? Color correction, removing red eye, sharpening the image, etc.
