www.familyhandyman.com/list/light-bulb-guide-how-to-choose-led-bulbs"Shopped for light bulbs lately? If you have, you may have noticed that most bulbs sold now are LED (light emitting diode) bulbs. Old-fashioned incandescents have all but vanished from store shelves, and the popularity of CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulbs is on the wane. That's because, although they're more energy efficient than incandescents, CFLs just can't compete with the energy efficiency and light quality of LED bulbs. And, while you're lucky to get two to five years of life from a CFL bulb, LED bulbs can last 20 years or more. But trying to figure out which LED bulbs to buy can lead to a lot of head scratching. Here's what you need to know before you shop...." My notes: Our fixtures have the LED right in them. But I didn't know you had to be more careful with the electronics inside.

Being careful with the electronics when buying an LED really only applies if your switch does something other that just turn it on or off.
I did not know about the oven ones but it makes sense.

Yeah saw that when I last went shopping and grabbed replacements that I have yet to use since LED last so long, which is awesome.

The price of light bulbs these days is unreal as well but if they last as long as they are supposed to then I guess that sort of is worth it.

I don't use LED light bulbs in my place. I found a place that sells non LED Light bulbs.
