www.birdsandblooms.com/gardening/growing-trees-shrubs-grasses/black-locust-tree"A Purple Robe black locust tree (Robinia pseudoacacia) blooms for about 10 days in late spring. Extremely fragrant, 8-inch, dense flower clusters attract swarms of bees. Locust trees are also a host plant for the silver-spotted skipper butterfly...." My notes: Do you have one? Did you know it was invasive? While they are very beautiful, we don't have them in our area that I've noticed. It's too bad they have become invasive.
