Have you ever had to take anything in to get dry cleaned? The only thing I can think of was my wedding dress. Otherwise none of my clothes would require this service. Plus, I wouldn't want anything that fancy. Many years after our wedding, I thought to donate my wedding dress. The people thought I was getting divorced lol I was figuring I paid good money for that dress & it's just sitting in a box. Another could use it. But when we opened it up, it was all moldy inside. Whoever cleaned it, didn't seal it properly. They had on there the Opening will void warranty or something. That was odd though. We couldn't see if it WAS cleaned & if the stains were there! Needless to say, we had to pitch that dress.

That would have been awful Zandra seeing your wedding dress go moldy.
Been decades since I have taken anything to the Dry Cleaners.

Everyone does know Dry Cleaning is not actually cleaning while dry, right?

Never have, I should get my suit dry clean one of these days, it could use it since I've never clean it.

That would have been awful Zandra seeing your wedding dress go moldy. Been decades since I have taken anything to the Dry Cleaners. Thank you TT! It was very disappointing. Had memories & was hoping it could create memories for another woman out there! I don't recall ever having to take anything to the dry cleaners. I would think tuxes would be one of the things but then most men rent theirs. Everyone does know Dry Cleaning is not actually cleaning while dry, right? Yep. But I'm sure they'd invent something out there. They have to do things "dry" on the ISS.
For those who would like to know more from Wiki: "Dry cleaning is any cleaning process for clothing and textiles using a solvent other than water. Clothes are instead soaked in a water-free liquid solvent (usually non-polar, as opposed to water which is a polar solvent). Tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene), known in the industry as "perc", is the most commonly used solvent, although alternative solvents such as 1-bromopropane and hydrocarbons are also used."
Never have, I should get my suit dry clean one of these days, it could use it since I've never clean it. Does it depend on how often you wear it? I know when I've worn a dress, I didn't have it cleaned each time.

Don't think I've ever had anything dry-cleaned. And, ZandraJoi...that's a sad story about your wedding dress. It must've been terrible to see mold on your beautiful dress!

I try not to buy anything that says dry clean. Having said that, I have had success with washing something that was dry clean but I didn't dry it.

Well, it's not like you're ever going to wear it again ... LOL So true! I try not to buy anything that says dry clean. Having said that, I have had success with washing something that was dry clean but I didn't dry it. I haven't used a dryer in many years so I'm thinking I could have an outfit & be okay with it.
