Very rarely, and I steer clear of any and all livestock markets. They are terrible and I think they should be outlawed.

Here a farmer's market is where farmer's bring in & sell flowers, fruits & vegetables, NO animals dead or alive are anywhere around.

Maybe people are thinking of something else lol The ones I'm talking about are what Lilac said. They sell fresh, local produce, flowers. Sometimes homemade soaps, baked goods.

We have a really nice Farmer's Market that, I think at this point, is all year round. I've gone a few times and they have some really great stuff there. I haven't been in a while, but I'd love to go back.

Yes. Every Tuesday and Friday for the veggies and honey, mainly. It is kind of expensive but it's worth it. Everything is Certified organic.

blog.mountainroseherbs.com/farmers-market-tips"On Tuesdays in the spring and summer, I step away from my computer and into my own version of paradise. Pulling my car into a bustling central Pennsylvania farmers market, I head directly to the Jade Family Farmstand. These ambassadors of all that is local and delicious fill my bag with bright rhubarb, fragrant sorrel, and oddly delicious kiwi berries—all certified organic and grown by farmers whose growing practices are summed up in four words: First, do no harm. But farming practices are as broad as pepper varieties, and not all market stands are created equal. Some resell produce bought wholesale: not exactly what we envision when we fill our canvas bags with “local food.” How does a savvy shopper identify the highest quality farmers market finds while supporting their local food system?..." My notes: This article contains some good questions as starters to ask. Farmer's Markets can be great but just like with stores, read the labels, do your research. Buying local helps your economy but buying organic, or at least natural, helps everybody.

Farmer's Markets are great places to go to buy fresh, locally grown produce. The prices are comparable to the stores and sometimes way better. Whatever it costs I know it's better quality and fresher and helps local farmers.

www.naturalawakenings.com/2022/02/28/389300/the-bounty-of-farmers-markets-buying-local-boosts-health-the-economy-and-the-planet"Throughout the nation, an estimated 8,000 farmers markets offer some of the freshest food available anywhere. Often open on weekend mornings or select weeknights, these nutritional meccas allow local farmers to sell their fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat and dairy directly to consumers, thereby providing an attractive business channel for them. “If you buy direct from a farmer, 97 cents of every dollar goes home with the farmer, whereas if you buy from a traditional grocery store, only 17 cents makes its way back to that farmer,” says Janie Maxwell, executive director of the Illinois Farmers Market Association...." My notes: These are a great way to help support local businesses.

I like to buy fruits and vegetables from farmers' markets because they are not only fresh but also cheaper than in the stores.

I do around June to get some strawberries, I'll either go to an afternoon one or an early morning one on Saturdays. After June, I really don't bother as they don't see much plus it's so badly crowded with pets you don't really want to move about.

In these days we are not getting vegetables directly from farmers as they are selling in Wholesale and some companies started their own farmers market, but i dont like them because of no taste. It's very far for us to reach real farmers for buying vegetables, but some times we bought from farmers healthy vegetables.

Not all food at farmers markets in the US is local. It's a huge problem. However, Oregon and california markets have a Certified Farmers Market Program. I do buy veggies, bread, flatbread wraps, and fruit from the farmers market, though. I go every week. There is nothing better then fresh veggies.

At our Farmer's Market, they have fruits & veggies that we know Michigan doesn't produce. Items like oranges. I wish they would be more stringent with the rules.

Yes, it's the only place I can get my vegetables all fresh once they are out from the farm. I don't buy vegetables in the supermarket like most people do.

We can't buy ours year round as we get too cold for gardens & orchards. But I'd love to just buy from farmer's markets.
